Kama Tucker, a native of softball-rich southern California, recently finished her fifth year with a 25-17-2 record as the Head Softball Coach at Greensboro College.
Coach Tucker was the 2005 USA South Coach-of-the-Year and has coached 20 all-conference softball players during her career at Greensboro College. Additionally, she has mentored two CoSIDA regional academic team honorees, two all-region performers, and The Pride's first conference player of the year (Jessica Clack '06).
In addition to coaching the Greensboro College Pride, Kama has worked numerous NCAA YES (Youth Education through Sports) Clinics at NCAA Division I, II and III College World Series, serves on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee and is active in collegiate clinics.
As a player, Kama was a two-time team MVP, all-conference player and tournament MVP at Barton College who also excelled academically at Barton where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and religion. She also competed two seasons at Barton in volleyball as a defensive specialist.
