Phil Johnston has worked hard over the past four years as a Regional Scouting Director to run and build a national recruiting network, consisting of more than 24,000 college coaches at over 2,000 colleges and universities nationwide. As Proehlific Park’s Director of Scouting, Phil will direct Proehlific Recruiting Services, a program designed to expose high school athletes to collegiate athletic coaches.

Phil’s love of sports and coaching children drew him to recruiting, as it provides children with the chance to not only earn their degree, but also to participate in collegiate athletics. 

After Johnston's oldest son, an all-conference fullback football player, received no exposure to college coaches, Johnston began researching alternate methods in hopes of helping his son earn an athletic scholarship for college.  After researching the recruiting process, he decided to partner with Proehlific Park after learning their shared vision, goals and objectives for young athletes

Phil has been involved with Oak Ridge Pop Warner football as a head coach for the past four years and serves on the volunteer Board of Directors. He also serves on the volunteer board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
