| Gabriel (Gabe) Robert Staub MS, CSCS
Gabe is an experienced sport specific performance dietitian and trainer. He was first introduced to functional training during his college internship at East Coast Athletics, now Platinum Sports Academy, in Greensboro, NC. After completing his Exercise Science degree from Guilford College in 2003, he pursued a minor league strength and conditioning job with the Anaheim Angels organization. Gabe worked with the Arkansas Travelers (AA) and the 2004 Pioneer League Champions the Provo Angels (R), which have since produced numerous MLB players. In 2004, Gabe became North Carolina A & T State University’s Head Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach, working specifically with baseball and softball, while assisting with football. The NCA&T Aggies baseball team went on to win the MEAC championship that year. During the summer of 2005, he joined Advanced Fitness Training studio to train privately.
In May of 2008, Gabe completed his Master’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a focus in clinical dietetics. He completed his dietetic internship in July at Marywood University and will sit for his registered dietitian’s exam in October. Recently, Gabe combined both of his talents and started Fuel Factor, a sport specific nutrition and training company in Greensboro, North Carolina. Fuel Factor primarily serves as a performance nutrition consultant to sport performance companies, youth athletic associations, and high school and collegiate athletic teams in North Carolina. Fuel Factor helps athletes identify individual nutrition Fuel Factors that may impact their performance through various nutrition services.
Gabe and his wife Shannon, currently live in Greensboro, NC, with their daughter Zoe. His hobbies include playing baseball, exercising, eating, reading exercise and nutrition research articles, and watching sports.
