Our Mission

The mission of Proehlific Park lies in its play on the word "prolific": to nourish and be fruitful.  Proehlific Park, a youth sports complex, is a safe and loving "home away from home" where youth in the Triad experience a disciplined, caring and learning atmosphere.  This is accomplished through the P.O.W.E.R. of sport. (see below)

The vision of Proehlific Park is the whole child ~ physical, mental and spiritual components. This starts with an emphasis on recreational pick-up games, supervised open play and life lessons learned within those opportunities.   The Academic Success Center is always available to members helping them optimize their scholastic achievements with access to 14 computers and professional tutoring.  Life skills that focus specifically on emotional, mental and spiritual advancement are furthered through coaching, mentoring and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Huddles.

The option for sport-specific personal instruction, league and tournament play is also available.   Proehlific Park epitomizes an encouraging environment that inspires purpose in a child's life and, above all, a place where kids can not only experience The POWER of Play, but learn the Skills to Succeed.

Our Guiding Principles

All Players who represent Proehlific Park in team play, play under the name P.O.W.E.R., which represents the core values and guiding principles of Proehlific Park.

• PLAY - The spontaneous activity of children. Above all else, Proehlific Park is a place where kids can just play sports and have fun with adult supervision, but without adult intrusion or interruption.
• OPPORTUNITY - A good chance or occasion to advance oneself. At Proehlific Park, all kids  have the opportunity to not only play but also develop their athletic and academic skills to the highest level possible. 
• WORK - Sustained physical or mental effort to overcome obstacles and achieve an objective or result. Although the emphasis is on play, Proehlific Park members are coached in such a way as to develop a work ethic that  prepares them for success on the fields and courts, in the classroom and in life.  
• EXCELLENCE - The state, quality or condition of excelling; superiority. Proehlific Park pledges to pursue excellence in every aspect of our operation and will work tirelessly with each individual member and team to help achieve excellence in every aspect of their lives. 
• RESPECT - To feel or show honor or esteem for; to hold in high regard. Everyone associated with Proehlific Park is expected to be respectful of the games they are privileged to play, exhibiting humility in victory and grace in defeat. Respect for the rules, teammates, coaches and officials will be the standard by which Proehlific Park operates. Additionally, members of Proehlific Park are guided in the importance of respect for one's body through proper nutrition, training and the avoidance of banned substances.
