“Better Players Help Make a Better
Team”
A.C.E.S
stands for its program director, Ashley Cabral Elite Soccer. Ashley Cabral was a standout player, who set
many records, at Greensboro College. She
ended her college career with 109 points, 47 goals and 26 assists. Ashley’s coaching credentials include
training players of all ages, genders and positions. She has assisted coached for a college and
has worked many soccer camps, clinics and training programs.
The mission of the
A.C.E.S. program is to develop soccer players technically, tactically and
mentally for all aspects of the game.
The more a player develops individually, the more they can contribute to
a team. This program will concentrate on
player development and individual skills by using ball mastery and cover
methods. A.C.E.S will aim to develop
first touch, ball control and foot skills (1 v 1 and change of direction
moves). In addition, the program will
work on player skills such as, passing, dribbling, ball striking, receiving,
heading, turning, shielding and juggling.
The A.C.E.S program will coordinate with PSP (Proehlific Sports
Performance) to help develop an overall athlete. These programs will develop each player’s
fitness, agility, endurance, speed and strength, creating the most rounded
player. All coaches and trainers will
use a positive, directional and motivating coaching style to help build players
both skillfully and mentally. Through
our training, you will notice more confident, positive, productive players with
a new love for the game.
All players involved in
the A.C.E.S. program are responsible for obtaining its four guiding principles.
Attitude - All players must hold a positive
attitude to all staff, players, family and most importantly, themselves. Everyone makes mistakes but it is those that
learn to stay confident and keep a positive attitude while recovering that will
progress.
Commitment - All players are expected to be committed
to the program, along with their teams and the game of soccer. Players must be committed to putting in the
extra work, going the extra distance and pushing themselves past their comfort
level in order to develop as a player.
Effort - A high work effort is necessary
while trying to achieve goals and move on to the next level of soccer. One must push 110% at all times, even during
the simplest of actions. Effort can make
an average player better and a great player outstanding. Coaches can build skill, however work effort
comes from the mentality of the player.
Skill - Despite the starting skill of a
player, with the proper attitude, commitment level and effort, any player will
build their soccer skills.
